Radford Transit property is reserved for use by patrons and customers only and no entry or remaining on the property for any purpose unrelated to this business is allowed. Radford Transit is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.
Rules/expected behaviors
No individual may engage in inappropriate conduct on, at or in both the public and non-public areas of Radford Transit facilities. This includes shelters, bus stops, administrative, operational, and buses used to provide deviated/fixed route services.
You may be under audio or video surveillance. The following are rules and expected behavior at Radford Transit HUB, on Radford Transit property, on any Radford Transit vehicle, or at any Radford Transit bus shelter or stop.
The following are examples of behaviors and activities that are prohibited:
- Service animals are allowed on Radford Transit buses.
- Hold personal items, store in overhead racks or under the seat, personal items are limited only to items that can be boarded in a single trip, and kept either on their lap or on the floor out of the isle or ADA area.
- Respect the privacy of other passengers.
- Use audio/video equipment only with headphones.
- Carry food and drinks in closed containers.
- Wear shirts and shoes at all times.
- Do not lie down or place feet on seats.
- Do not interfere with operator/conductor while operating the vehicle.
- Do not engage in loud or unruly behavior.
- Do not eat onboard buses.
- Do not smoke or vape.
- Do not litter.
- Do not consume alcohol or drugs.
- Do not carry hazardous, explosive or corrosive materials.
- Do not carry unlawful weapons or firearms.
- Do not solicit.
- Do not loiter.
- Do not leave bags unattended.
- Any other acts prohibited by Law
Follow the Rules or Risk Expulsion and/or Suspension
If you violate these rules or other federal, state, or local laws on or at a Radford Transit vehicle or property, Radford Transit personnel and partner agencies are authorized to evict you from the bus/property and/or ban you from riding and/or allowed on Radford Transit property for a specific period of time. You may receive verbal notice or written notice of suspension or expulsion from Radford Transit personnel or its partner agencies. Failure to comply with either may subject you to loss of riding privileges, arrest, and/or prosecution for criminal trespass.
