RT has been fare free since Covid 19

There are many bus stops throughout the city. Bus stop signs have a picture of the front of a bus and blue lettering on a white background. Stand at the stop, and the bus operator will stop to pick you up. For specific information about the stop closest to you, call the transit information line at 540.831.5911

At the end of each day, bus operators turn in all items left on the bus. You may call 540.831.5911 to see if we have the item.

Pets are not allowed on the bus unless it’s a service animal

There is a two bag limit on the bus. You must be able to store the bags in the area where you are sitting. Please do not bring any large objects on board that require multiple seats. The two bag limit is in place as a courtesy to other passengers and for safety reasons. Unsecured bags pose a safety concern to the driver and all passengers on board as loose bags and the objects within them may fall into the aisles and pose a trip and fall concern.

Yes, you can bring a baby stroller on the bus. It must be folded up and stored in between or under seats; strollers are not allowed in the aisle.  Reasonable accommodations will be made to parents with strollers.  We recommend that your baby ride in your lap during the trip.

Each bus has a pull cord that runs along the top of the window on each bus. Pull the cord approximately one block before you wish to exit the bus.

Each bus has a destination sign on the front and right side of the bus that identifies the route the bus travels.

Yes. All Radford Transit buses are ADA accessible.

No. Due to federal regulations that govern federally funded transit systems, Radford Transit can not do charters.
